USMS Summer Nationals were held in Mission Viejo, California, home to one of the most storied programs in USA Swimming & Diving. The Nadadores program has sent at least one athlete to each Olympics dating back to 1976. They last held Nationals there in 2005.
Niagara LMSC had two representatives at the meet:
- Priscilla Modrov won all four of her events in the 25-29 age group, easily breaking each of the Niagara records, and shattering the Colonies Zone records in the 200 butterfly and 800 freestyle.
- Randy Mayall finished in the top 8 in each of his five events in the 45-49 age group, breaking three Niagara records in the process.
Great job! Full results can be seen here: http://www.usms.org/comp/lcnats13/results/.
All members should be aware that anyone can go to Nationals and swim up to three individual events, without meeting any qualifying times. The qualifying times are strictly for those athletes who want to do more than three events.
