Brandi Bashor, Nickel City Splash head coach, was the recipient the 2018 Niagara LMSC Coach of the Year Award at the Winter Whiteout meet on January 20th. Brandi revitalized this Buffalo club, which included: membership growth, adding workouts/assistant coaches, and increased meet participation. Also, she is credited with bringing the USMS Adult Learn to Swim (ALTS) certification course to Buffalo and creating the first ALTS program in Niagara, geared toward teaching adults how to swim. She is the first coach in Niagara to secure a grant from the USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation (SSLF) to support that program. Way to go Brandi!
