DescriptionRochester Area Masters Swimming (RAMS), in conjunction with MCC's swim team and Niagara LMSC support, will be hosting the event at Monroe Community College (Brighton Campus) on Sunday, January 20th, 2013. There are limited slots available, so please contact Rauni English as soon as possible: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please provide your USMS ID# when signing up with Rauni. Objective: To swim as far as possible in one hour. Event results are sent in electronically or by mail so you can compare yourself to other swimmers doing the same event. Some people do the One Hour Postal event for competition, while others do it for fitness; all who wish to participate are welcome. The recorded distance (total yards swum) that you submit determines the order of finish. You MUST be a currently registered member of USMS ON or BEFORE THE DAY OF YOUR SWIM! You MUST contact Rauni to swim at MCC. Please do not register for the event online and show up at MCC without contacting her first. Event information and online registration There will be a maximum of 4 heats at MCC, with as many as 12 swimmers in each heat (2 per lane). You may get your own lane if your heat is not full. Estimated start times for heats will be as follows: 9:00 am, 10:05 am, 11:10 am, 12:15 pm. Swimmers should state their start time preference and expected distance. Faster swimmers will be seeded in the middle lanes, at the discretion of the meet host. The pool will open at 8:45 am for warm-up. If the pool is full during the event, the warm-up for the later heats will take place in the diving well. Timers will be provided by MCC's swim team. Donations to their team is appreciated. All proceeds will go to charity. This is a Niagara LMSC team event! Every yard counts toward our total and placement against other clubs/LMSCs. Venue
